The Washington State Liquor Control Board (WSLCB) has announced that businesses will no longer be charged a convenience fee to use the Online Tax and Reporting Payment System. As of, October 26, 2011 wineries, breweries and Washington retailers will not be charged a $1.00 convenience fee to file monthly tax reports and make tax payments online. The Online Tax and Reporting Payment System allows users to access their accounts, view previously filed reports and verify payments 24 hours a day. Wineries who want to sign up to use the online system should contact the WSLCB Beer and Wine Tax Unit at beerwinetaxes@liq.wa.gov or 360/664-1721. Additionally, wineries continue to have the option of submitting monthly reports and payments via the U.S. Postal Service.
